Audit and Assurance

Do you need an Audit? Your business needs an audit if your turnover is more than £5.6m per annum or if your gross assets are more than £2.8m. Charities need an audit if their annual gross income exceeds £500,000 or if their gross income exceeds £100,000 and the charity’s assets exceed £2.8m. Sole traders or partnerships are exempt from audit regardless of turnover.

We are registered auditors so you can be confident that the audit team assigned to your business will carry out your audit professionally and to the highest standard.  Our team will work on-site at your business premises and will be as unobtrusive as possible, carrying out the necessary work thoroughly and efficiently.

Even if not legally required, many businesses choose to go through the audit process purely to gain peace of mind or to add credibility to the business for the benefit of a third party such as the bank or potential investor. This is known as assurance. Assurance is less rigorous than an audit but more comprehensive than a set of accounts.
